How to Measure Your Dog Correctly Before Buying Clothes

Buying the correct size is one of the most important parts of choosing dog clothing. Even premium fabrics cannot provide comfort if the fit is incorrect.

Measure These Four Areas

Neck

Measure around the widest part of your dog's neck without pulling the tape too tightly.

Chest (Girth)

Measure around the widest part of your dog's chest, just behind the front legs.

Back Length

Measure from the base of the neck to the beginning of the tail.

Front Length

Measure from the neck to the front chest where the garment should comfortably end.

• Allow two fingers of space while measuring.
• Measure while your dog is standing naturally.
